Biography

I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Social work from California State University Los Angeles with a focus in children, youth, and families. I furthered my education and graduated from the University of Southern California, with a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Adult Mental Health and Wellness. I have had the privilege to assist in integrated health care settings such as Hurtt Family Health Clinic, which is crucial for those who have limited access to health care.

 

Practice Philosophy

My clinical practice philosophy is to start where the client is; acknowledging their past experiences, trauma, and bringing it into practice to help heal and live a productive and progressive life. I believe in people’s resilience and self-determination to be the most important tool into any therapeutic recovery.

Tottyona Willingham, ASW, BIPOC

Biography

I received my Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California. I have years of experience working with vastly diverse populations ranging from survivors of domestic violence to military and military family members. I also received two undergraduate degrees from California State University, Fullerton in Psychology and Business Administration. Working with individuals has been a longstanding passion of mine which is what lead me into the ever growing field of social work as a clinician.

 

Practice Philosophy

My clinical practice is cultivated in the client’s unique needs. I employ varying treatment modalities to aid individuals to meet their goals and to create ways to cope/ provide self-care in order to be the best version of themselves. The best treatment outcomes come from a mutually respectful, understanding and collaborative relationship amongst a client and clinician.

Tameika Timmons, LCSW

Biography Information

Tameika Timmons is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 8 years of experience providing psychotherapy and over 12 years of working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Tameika has been trained in the following evidenced based practices: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) and Families OverComing Under Stress (FOCUS). Some of her specialties include but are not limited to working with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, mood issues, trauma, child behavior issues, and low self-esteem.

Practice Philosophy

Tameika believes in the importance of taking a collaborative approach with her clients to help them achieve their goals, while utilizing practices from a strength-based perspective to assist them in identifying strengths that they possess to help them move forward. She possesses empathy, compassion, and takes a non-judgmental approach which makes it easy for her clients to open-up to her. She is dedicated to empowering individuals to help them reconnect with self and others, find deeper self-understanding and compassion, along with assisting them in seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Laurie Mazzei, MSPAS, MPH

Biography

I completed my training at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA where I received a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. I was trained in a dual diagnosis treatment setting where I treated patients with both addiction, and mental health diagnoses. I consider it a privilege to work with this population, and others in need of treatment.

Practice Philosophy

I consider working as a Physician Assistant an opportunity to make a contribution to my community. I believe in a multi faceted approach to treatment that includes medication, therapy, and other modalities that address the whole person.
