Guadalupe Mejia-Sarabia

Biography

I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Social work from California State University Los Angeles with a focus in children, youth, and families. I furthered my education and graduated from the University of Southern California, with a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Adult Mental Health and Wellness. I have had the privilege to assist in integrated health care settings such as Hurtt Family Health Clinic, which is crucial for those who have limited access to health care.

Practice Philosophy

My clinical practice philosophy is to start where the client is; acknowledging their past experiences, trauma, and bringing it into practice to help heal and live a productive and progressive life. I believe in people’s resilience and self-determination to be the most important tool into any therapeutic recovery.
