Susana Rios, NP

Biography

Welcome! I completed my undergraduate degree in Health and Human Services from Cal State Fullerton. Afterwards, I completed my Masters Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Yale School of Nursing. There, I was a member of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation New Careers in Nursing Scholar. I chose to further my skills through a Nurse Practitioner Residency program at Santa Rosa Community Health.

Prior to joining the Hurtt Family Health Clinic, I had experience working at an FQHC and a private practice as an FNP. I am grateful to now be a part of the Hurtt Family Health Clinic.

Practice Philosophy

Growing up in this community, I have experienced and observed limited health care access to those with cultural, economic, and language barriers.
I think it is important that our local community has equal and fair access to meet their health care needs.
My goal is to educate, empower, and motivate my patients to live a healthy lifestyle.
Fortunately, I work with a great team at Hurtt. I believe we are making a positive difference in our community.
