Scott McQueen, PA

Biography
My career as a Physician Assistant started as a mid-life career change. Prior to entering PA school, I was a machinist and machine designer/builder in our family owned business and worked multiple other positions including EMT/Ambulance Driver and private/contract security. I graduated PA school back in 1995 and attended College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, known as Western University of Health Sciences. I spent the first 15 years of my career primarily in Emergency Medicine and then transitioned to Urgent Care and eventually Primary Care in the FQHC realm including treatment of Substance Use Disorders, primarily Opioid Use Disorder.

Philosophy
My philosophy regarding care is “everyone matters” and my passion is for the underserved and underrepresented. I enjoy working with those that are skeptical or apprehensive of modern medicine and tailor care to coincide with patients specific cultural, spiritual, and religious beliefs. As someone who is in recovery myself, I strive to help others battling similar challenges and strongly believe in second chances.
