Biography

Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan and later Southern California by parents who worked tirelessly in faith-based non-profits, I knew from a young age that I wanted to commit my life to benefitting others. I developed strong passions for social justice, advocacy, and mental health wellness by working as a case worker for individuals with severe mental illness prior to medical school. This passion continued throughout my time in medical school at A.T. Still School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona and Family Medicine residency training at Harbor-UCLA in LA county. Now, as a board certified Family Medicine physician, I am excited to build trusting therapeutic relationships with patients, provide comprehensive patient-centered care, and be an active community member that aspires to improve the health of the whole community.

Practice Philosophy

I believe in patient-centered care that begins with creating a safe space where patients can come as they are and explore what wellness can look like in their lives. I would like to collaborate with and empower patients towards healthy living.
