Jennifer Garcia, ACSW

Biography:

I attended Newport Harbor High School. Then, obtained my B.A. in psychology from Cal State Fullerton. I got my Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I completed an internship in a pilot program in integrative medicine while in my MSW program at Kaiser Permanente. Then, I worked in community clinics serving underserved populations first as a case manager then as an Associate Behavioral Health Specialist in a role I helped develop. Being the daughter to immigrant parents I know the first hand challenges that are present in access to obtaining quality health and mental health care and am thrilled in being part of the solution here at Hurtt Family Clinic. I do my work with care and precision and provide patient-driven and centered care.

Philosophy:

My goal is to provide high quality patient-driven care to patients. My hope is that patients can feel more developed as human beings and empowered through our work together. I utilize evidence-based practices in my work. I deliver my services with the highest ethical and moral standing. I believe in holistic integrative care of sound body, mind, and spirit.
