Biography
Growing up in Newark, NJ as the first-born of Nigerian immigrants, I saw a lot of hardship within my city and in the home, with parents who struggled to make a lot out of very little. They instilled in me compassion, and a desire to help others around me. Ever since I could speak, I have been saying that I wanted to become a doctor to provide care to those who need it. Many dedicated and trying years later, I graduated from Howard University College of Medicine, and then its Family Medicine residency program in Washington, DC. Now, I am honored to say that I am a board-certified family medicine physician committed to providing patient-centered care.
Practice Philosophy
Each person is different and medicine is not one-size fits all. The goal is always to improve quality of life while reducing morbidity and mortality as best we can. I work with my patients by educating them, discussing their options, and always providing my own recommendations based on evidence-based medicine, but ultimately, the decisions are in their hands.
