Thankfully, organizations like Orange County Rescue Mission (ORCM) exist to provide vital safety net services to the underserved.

ORCM is a non-profit, faith-based organization that supports the homeless in Orange County through various programs. Hurtt Family Health Clinic is one of the organization’s major initiatives, providing free and low-cost medical, dental and mental care to low-income families in the county. We are a no health insurance clinic that welcomes patients with or without insurance, offering several solutions that allow everyone access to quality care.

Free clinic services

The services we provide at these free mobile clinics include:

• Sick visit evaluations
• Clinical evaluations
• Health screenings
• Preventive care
• Acute care
• Pharmacy services
• Immunization

We also provide free referrals for long-term management of chronic and acute diseases, as well as lifestyle counseling, pre-natal check-ups and other well-woman and well-child services.

The contribution of mobile clinics to healthcare has been widely recognized. By bringing free medical services to where the community can easily access them, we are encouraging everyone to be more invested in their health and to be aware of preventive care that can help you live healthier for the rest of your life.

Free preventive healthcare

Several preventive care services are provided free of charge to those with Medicaid coverage as well as insurance purchased from the Affordable Care Act marketplace. The lists of these free services are found here.

Low income medical clinic

In addition to these free services, Hurtt Family Clinic also offers a Sliding Fee Scale Discount Program, where you can get a discount on healthcare services based upon your family’s size and income. As part of this program, patients with a temporary financial problem and can’t pay their fees may apply for a Patient Special Needs Request. Another option is the Payment Plan, in which patients can request for a different payment schedule if this is justified by their financial situation.

Low cost dental services

Hurtt Family Clinic also provides low cost dental services, including the following:

• Dental x-rays
• Root canals
• Crowns and dentures
• Oral health education

Free medicines

Through various grants and community partnerships, Hurtt Family Clinic is able to provide certain prescribed medicines free-of-charge or at significantly lower cost.

You can also get as much as 75% savings on prescription drugs from more than 56,000 national and local pharmacies through our free discount drug card. Our pharmacy services also include free assistance in completing your application for Prescription Assistance Programs, which will allow you to get free or low-cost drugs from various pharmaceutical companies.
